A Wish is a request from a Sim in The Sims 3. There is a wide selection that keep Sims happy as well as working towards some short and long-term goals and rewards; similar to the Wants system in The Sims 2. Wishes come from anywhere and everywhere, based on a Sims’ traits, their job, their skills, their friends or coworkers, where they are in town, or what they might be doing or wants to do. Players can promise to help their Sims with a wish by left-clicking on it, or choose or throw it away by right-clicking on it.

Satisfying these basic tasks will give lifetime happiness points that can be redeemed for a lifetime reward and increase a Sim's overall morale with the "Fulfilled moodlet"; a minor condition that contributes to a characters' overall mood.
